TEN Proof sets containing 3 silver coins, weighing a total of 191.3 grams or 6.15 Troy ounces. At present $48 per ounce the silver melt value is $295.20. Each set also includes a proof nickel and penny and a certificate of authenticity.
I am selling all ten sets for $300, which includes the proof nickels and pennies. So pretty much at melt value without the premiums of proof condition and collectible value.
The price of silver COULD rise to $70 in the next 12 months, but overall getting these coins in proof condition for melt value is a nice long-term investment and would make a great gift.
NOTE: As of 30 Oct at 1500 the spot price of one ounce of silver is $48.15. I will hold to this $300 price as long as silver stays within the $47 - $49 per ounce range.
