Coordinates non-medical equipment requirements for this major medical center replacement project. Coordinates SOFA/Customs Clearance documentation with Host Nation Authorities and reports to COR or other appropriate Government officials for coordination or decisions that need to be made related to the same. Ensures conformance with UL and CE Mark codes, The Joint Commission (TJC) standards, applicable OSHA safety standards, and other agency criteria. Coordinates with facility environmental services and infection control officers to ensure compliance. Reports compliance issues to COR or other applicable Government official for action by the Government. Provides timely coordination with DHA Project Site Office staff to ensure proper reviews and notification of non-medical equipment procurement packets in order to support the separate IO&T contractor’s schedule. Attends staff, in-progress-reviews and other project-related meetings. This support will include but is not limited to the following: review schedules, safety oversight, coordination effectiveness, and perform documentation reviews for COR for all Initial Outfitting and Transition contractor work in progress or in planning stages at above-referenced facility. Participates in final on-site inspections of installed equipment and makes recommendations. Ensures hand receipt continuity between turn-in or transfer of handbook items. Reviews non-medical IO-T packages for completeness, accuracy, and conformity with using departments’ requirements. Reviews customs documents for all goods arriving in country for the project. Coordinates and documents their delivery, installation and final acceptance. Manages turnover of commodities and documentation. Coordinates the logistics area. Requires occasional travel to the Einsiedlerhof Zollamt German customs office. Occasional travel to Landstuhl Regional Medical Center (LRMC) Knowledge of Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS) and Microsoft Office Suite programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams) a plus. Valid passport required and drivers license required.This position is a new position with no incumbent.
