Antique Towel Holder ca 1890-1900

Back in the day the german kitchens had three towels for use, one for hand towel (Handtuch), one for plate towel (Tellertuch) and one for glass towels (Glaesertuch) and in better homes these were marked with porcelain towel signs on hook racks. These racks like this one with the old German Script writing are hard to find.

The tellertuch porcelain has a small crack that had been glued many years ago.
