SELLING snow and ice Sled - original Biedermeier, 1st half 1800's, ca 170 years old, no restoration work & in original condition. Metal is strong and sturdy. Boards are sturdy and NO WOOD WORMS or traces of ever having any (no WW holes). No restoration work was done to the original beer painted boards, so if you want to make it look new you can paint it yourself and destroy its value as an genuine antique. We believe antiques should be left in original condition, otherwise we could just buy new. We have owned this sled for over 30 years, but getting up in age, therefore time to let go and let someone else enjoy it.
This type sled is rare and most are in the hands of serious collectors. My wife used it for doll display only. It was never used by us in the snow but certainly can be used for that purpose.
