The stock certificate was issued in 1920 by the Thüringer Wollgarnspinnerei GmbH & Co.. this company is located in Thüringen, Germany and is part of the Textile Manufacturing Industry. It has has 45 employees at this location and generates $6.83 million in sales (USD). There are 6 companies in the Thüringer Wollgarnspinnerei GmbH & Co. KG corporate family.

The government banknote, issued in 1935, has a maturity date of 1946. Called a Konversionskasse fur Deutsche Auslandsschulden, these are debt instruments issued by the German government for foreign debts. They are special relics of German financial history.

At around the time the notes were issued, inflation slowed and allowed the German economy to pick up speed again. However, the German Reich had to transfer a large part of its economic output to the victorious powers in the form of reparations for the war damage in the First World War. This was one of the causes of the economic crisis in Germany in 1929.

To pay its debts, Germany took out a lot of loans abroad and also borrowed in foreign currencies. The Reichsbank monitored everything and took over payment transactions with foreign countries in 1933. All interest and repayments on foreign assets had to be made through the "Conversions Fund for German Foreign Debt."

These notes are not legal tender; they are more like stocks or securities than banknotes, which is why they could also be canceled, as in this case by means of perforation and subsequently by cutting off the corner. The so-called Reichsbank treasure, before 1945, stored financial documents in Berlin and storage consisted of, among other things, these bills. In 2006/2008 the government auctioned almost 30 million worth of these securities.

The 1,000 mark Reichbanknote was issued by the German federal government in 1922.

All of these items are in excellent condition. They are truly collectors items and a unique part of German history.

And the price for all three, $4.85, is very reasonable.
