British King Edward VIII coronation mug, Johnson Bros., England

Jasperware mug made for the coronation of King Edward VIII. As this never took place, because he gave up the throne in December 1936 to marry Wallace Simpson, an American divorcee, many souvenirs were destroyed. They are therefore highly collectible. His brother, Queen Elizabeth's father then had to become king! If you know anyone who is following the NETFLIX series "The Crown", this is the present for them! Good condition.
